Here are the non-conference results for the teams participating in the Season 30 PIT...

Off to a fantastic start, Miami (FL) is no fluke as they have a RPI of 12 and are ranked #6 in the country right now. Things get a little harder now though as the competition in the ACC is harder than ever including 5 other teams currently ranked in the national polls.

South Carolina State goes into the conference season with a 9-1 record including a perfect record of 5-0 on the road.

Northwestern State is off to another winning season while testing themselves in the non-conference. They were 3-1 against Top 25 competition.

Siena took to the road and played some great competition to get prepared for the conference season. Their 5-4 road record included a record of 2-1 against Top 25 competition. This earned them an RPI of 44.

Arkansas Litttle Rock finished the non-conference with a winning record and an RPI of 70. Another dominant conference season could land them in the national tourney once again.

While Tennessee Tech had a losing record in the non-conference, they are hoping that the 10 game road swing will pay dividends down the road when it comes time to hand out the national bids. Currently with a RPI of 39 and SOS of 27, no team was more tested than them as they defeated previously ranked #3 Iowa on the road in the season opener and narrowly lost to then #2 ranked Syracuse.

Western Illinois currently has a very respectable SOS of 78, but will need to have a great conference season as they RPI will hurt their chances to make the Big Dance.

No team was more hurt with the change of seasons than Davidson. One year, they are Top 5 ranked, the next they are looking for a win. This very young team hasn't been afraid to play top competition (4 teams in the Top 25) or on the road (7 games). It is just a matter of time before this team makes it way back to the top.
